Float is a generously proportioned sofa which looks as though it is indeed floating! This special effect is thanks to the unusual characteristic of a mirrored base so that the floor is reflected. This detail provides the sofa with a buoyant effect, in spite of its severe cubist form. Eero Koivisto came upon the idea for this sofa while watching a Star Wars film: he discovered that the vehicles in the film appeared to float due to a similar mirror illusion.
